License and use

The software is free and open source under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, and distribute it under that license.

Detection limits

Heuristics and exact matching can miss transformed, encrypted, split, shortened, or unsupported credentials. A clear report does not prove that a workspace is free of secrets. Keep using least-privilege credentials, a secret manager, repository scanning, and credential rotation.

No warranty

The software is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. The full limitation of liability is in the repository’s MIT License.

Responsible use

Only inspect workspaces and credentials you are authorized to access. The tool is not designed to recover, reveal, or monitor secret values.
